Tree Planting UNLVolunteers

Description

Join UNLVolunteers as we join Get Outdoors Nevada to plant trees and clean up Hualapai Canyon Park on Saturday October 19. Planting trees in our local parks helps combat the urban heat island effect, improve air quality, and provide shade to local wildlife and park-goers. Get volunteer hours!

As a group, tools, equipment, transportation, and snacks will be provided. Please make sure you bring a water bottle, wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Long-sleeve shirts and hats for shade are also highly encouraged.

Hope to see you there!

Admission Information

Anybody ready to plant trees and clean the park are welcome! Meet below the stairs at the first floor Student Union and we will drive to the event. Those with vehicles are welcome to drive themselves. The event runs from 8-11 a.m. and we plan to be back by 12 p.m.
