UNLV is committed to cultivating environments and experiences that continually promote performance for a multi-generational, multiracial, multi-background workforce. Those who demonstrate a high level of cultural intelligence are most effective at realizing this goal. This course will help individuals develop an intercultural mindset and acquire the skills to shift cultural perspective and adapt, or bridge, behavior to cultural commonality and difference.
By attending this session, participants will:
Discuss how self-awareness and cross-cultural intelligence impact people-related strategies and practices Engage in a myriad of interactive exercises to deepen their understanding of how diversity, inclusion, and social justice terms impact a manager’s ability to foster an equitable environment Learn how implicit (unconscious) bias impacts leadership capabilities among diverse populations.
