A critical review of a submitted manuscript is an integral part of the peer-review process of an academic journal. Manuscript reviews provide the researchers with substantive feedback and help improve the quality of the scholarship. In this informative workshop, students will learn how to review the core aspects of a manuscript and provide substantive feedback. Students will also learn what specific pitfalls to avoid when reviewing manuscripts.
Learning Objectives: By participating in this workshop you will:
- Learn how to critically evaluate manuscripts for publication
- Learn the pitfalls to avoid when reviewing a manuscript
- Learn how to review the core contents of a manuscript, including the abstract, introduction, methodology, results, and conclusion.
