The Railroad University Transportation Center at University of Nevada, Las Vegas which is part of the three-university consortium working under Rail Transportation Engineering and Advance Maintenance (RailTEAM) organized a three-day High-Speed Rail system seminar between December 18-20, 2017. The seminar covered a wide range of topics, from evolution and growth of high-speed rail, design, operation to maintenance. The seminar materials were delivered by seven presenters with different High-Speed Rail backgrounds, from industry to academia. More than 40 people with different high-speed rail experience attended the seminar. Speaking after the seminar, most of the attendants were very satisfied with the coverage and the materials provided. Similar seminars on High-Speed Rail will be offered by RailTEAM every year.
