Join the UNLV Harrah College of Hospitality Learning & Development Alumni Committee and hear from a panel of experts representing many aspects of the live entertainment sector including shows and theatrical productions, concert venues, day/nightclubs, and corporate events as they discuss:
- how the industry has been affected since COVID-19 and the subsequent safety and social distancing regulations

- what we can expect from the future of live events
Our panelists:
Andrew Insigne ‘11, Director of Event Marketing, Tao Group. With a strong event marketing background, this ‘11 alumnus knows how to spice up any party. Andrew Insigne’s specialty is his ability to orchestrate complex events while injecting a sense of playfulness into every detail. As the Director of Event Marketing for TAO Group Hospitality, he realized at an early age that his clients want more than a just party—they’re looking for an extravagant escape from the ordinary. Andrew's specialty is his ability to orchestrate complex events while injecting a sense of playfulness into every detail.
Shelle Hedrick, Director of Special Event Sales, LiveNation / House of Blues Las Vegas. Shelle is a seasoned event planner who has been planning & operating events in Las Vegas for over 16 years. Driven by a desire to provide exceptional customer service, she takes pride in providing unique experiences to each client. Shelle is passionate about leadership & helping her team grow to be the best planners possible so that they can one day step into her shoes.
Courtney King, Director of Merchandising, NYC TodayTix. Courtney has worked as a marketing professional in the theater and live entertainment industry for the past 11 years, but if asked, she’d tell you her career started as a child dancing along to a worn-out VHS of Funny Girl. Her effort to foster new generations of fans joins TodayTix on the quest to find a seat for everyone. She leads the charge on marketing in NYC to introduce new audiences to theater through a mobile-first ticketing platform centered on access to the best entertainment the city has to offer.
Serena Villamor, Partner with Indigo Tickets. Serena Villamor has been in the Las Vegas entertainment industry for 18+ years with tenure at MGM Resorts International, Cirque du Soleil, and BASE Entertainment. Her extensive experience in events, sales/marketing, and ticketing operations set the foundation for her current role as Partner/Owner at Indigo. Her attention to detail, high level of service, and ability to build lasting relationships has earned Serena a well-respected reputation among her industry peers. She also serves as VP of Meetings with Las Vegas Hospitality Association.
