Participants will learn about the history of academic mentorship, the typical responsibilities of a mentor and a mentee, what traits and information to consider when choosing a mentor or mentee, and how to handle challenges that arise in academic mentoring relationships.

Traditionally, this workshop is given as part of UNLV's Responsible Conduct of Research training series, and it is open to all UNLV faculty and students; graduate students enrolled in the Graduate Research Certificate Program must enroll in advance to receive credit for participation.
