As the recognized student government for UNLV's graduate and professional student body, the GPSA Council consists of representatives from each academic department and the elected executive board. Council representatives are responsible for attending the monthly GPSA Council meetings and communicating pertinent information back to their respective departments and colleagues. As we are a self-governing entity, we encourage students to communicate feedback or concerns through their representatives to share at our monthly Council meetings.
The GPSA and its Council promote and represent the interests of graduate and professional students at UNLV. The Association shall assist graduate and professional students with support for their academic endeavors, advocate on their behalf, and inculcate a sense of camaraderie. Providing an environment conducive to student scholarship and research is the primary goal of the GPSA. The GPSA strives to engender a sense of community among the graduate and professional students by furnishing financial support and fellowship. The Graduate & Professional Student Association serves all currently enrolled University of Nevada, Las Vegas graduate and professional students.
GPSA Council Representatives for the 2021-2022 academic year must register with the GPSA.
