Description
Global Game Jam is a 48-hour hackathon where "designers, developers, artists, musicians, knitters, gardeners, architects, everyone and anyone" is invited to try making a game—video game, board game, card game, or gambling game—during the 48-hour time frame. This year, 799 locations (mostly universities) are participating, and UNLV is one of them—the first time the event has ever been held in Vegas. Game prototypes will be uploaded online, and everyone is invited to vote on their favorites. Please visit Global Game Jam for more information.
Admission Information
Come with friends or by yourself and meet some new ones! Global Game Jam is welcoming to all—from beginners to experts. No previous experience in game development is required, though participants under 18 must have a legal guardian present with them at all times.
