Topic: Carbon, Diamonds and Seismic Anomalies in the Deep Mantle

Dr. Zhang research focuses on the formation and destruction of cratons, high temperature high pressure experiments of earth material, the origin, inclusion minerals, gemology, and artificial synthesis of diamonds, as well as the composition and structure of Earth’s Upper Atmosphere (present and past).
