GC: Implicit Bias Training for Leaders
Understanding what implicit bias is and how it impacts our decisions is key to fostering more inclusive and diverse workplaces. The reality is that we all have bias and our unconscious bias is at play more often than we realize. Bias is personal, cultural and institutional- and is often invisible to those who have it. The key to disrupting and countering unconscious bias is to name it and to recognize it. This workshop focuses on how implicit bias and stereotypes affect how we make decisions and shape how we engage others with subtle forms of prejudice. The session provides an understanding of how bias is formed in our unconscious.
