Description

Building active learning into class sessions can keep students engaged and improve learning. In this session, you'll get practical tips for embedding active learning in your courses. We'll also talk about authentic assessments of student learning, focusing on learner-centered, formative assessment practices that allow instructors to find out what students are learning and how well they are understanding it. 

By participating in this workshop you will:

  • Identify activities that will engage students and help meet learning outcomes
  • Learn about different types of student learning assessments
  • Discover authentic assessment techniques to identify what students have learned *so far
