The Academic Success Center and First-Year Experience (FYE) are partnering for this year’s First-Gen Connect program, which will highlight real UNLV student stories of navigating college as a first-generation student. 

First-year, first-generation students are invited to “Tell UNLV Who You Are” through a social media-style video, using images, narration, interviews, or monologue. Every student has their own unique journey! Select videos will premiere at this main First-Gen Connect.

In addition to the premiere of first-year student videos, students in attendance at First-Gen Connect will have the opportunity to learn from seasoned UNLV first-gen students, faculty, and staff, who will share their knowledge of navigating college beyond the first semester. After the panel, everyone is invited to stick around for a networking event to speak with representatives from across the University about campus resources to support students in meeting their academic and professional goals.
