Faculty Institute for the Culminating Experience
Campus Location
Office/Remote Location
Description
The Office of General Education, the Office of Instructional Development and Research, and UNLV Libraries will host a two-day Institute for program directors, instructors, and others who have been charged with revising or developing a Culminating Experience as part of UNLV’s general education program.
The Institute will be held May 18-19 in Lied Library.
The purpose of this Faculty Institute is to provide an opportunity for cross-disciplinary discussion regarding how the University Undergraduate Learning Outcomes can be embedded in various types of learning experiences, and how they can be assessed. We will discuss how the Culminating Experience prepares students for their future: in the workforce, in their future education, as citizens, and as lifelong learners.
