Description

UNLV Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) Student Success Extended Speaker Series aims to highlight and grow innovative approaches to supporting student success in an equitable and inclusive learning environment. This installment features Doris Watson, a UNLV professor of educational psychology and higher education, in conversation with Leslie Doyle, interim director of Student Diversity and Social Justice. The two will explore what it means to be a minority-serving institution as we train future higher education leaders. The discussion also covers the difference between having an enrollment-based MSI designation and being and a mission-based minority-serving university and how that influences student success.
