Description

Please join the Native UNLV Collaborative for a special Native American Heritage Month event featuring Native artist Jack Malotte.

Mr. Malotte is visiting UNLV following his successful exhibition at the Nevada Museum of Art. Mr. Malotte is a Western Shoshone and Washoe artist whose work focuses on the societal, political, and legal issues faced by contemporary Native Americans. He will join Native American Alumni Club President and MFA candidate, Fawn Douglas, in a conversation about his career as a Native artist working in the Great Basin. Dr. William Bauer, Professor of History, will introduce Mr. Malotte by setting the historical context in which Mr. Malotte produced his artwork.
