Earth Day Celebrations at the UNLV Campus Community Garden

Apr. 20, 2022, 11am to 1pm

Campus Location

Office/Remote Location

Look up the Rebel Recycling Center on Google maps, or look up Lot T or Lot R for parking located right next to the garden. The best way to get to the garden is to travel east on Flamingo Road and take the first right before Claymont Street.

Visit our Instagram (@unlvgarden) and see our highlight "location" to see a detailed picture of the garden's location.

Join the UNLV Garden and other related RSOs and community organizers as we hold space in the garden to celebrate Earth Day. We are hosting this event on Wednesday, April 20 rather than April 22, because we believe that every day should be treated as Earth Day. Guests who attend can expect free catered food, giveaways, music, and networking opportunities. Workshops are centered around different aspects of sustainability, activism and organizing, and the biological sciences.

Here are all the organizations who are coming out to the event to table/put on short workshops:

  • CSUN student government
  • Climate Action UNLV
  • Student Sustainability Council
  • Local mushroom farmers: Sundown Mushrooms and Mohave Mushrooms
  • Nevada Plants (who are graciously donating trees to the garden!)
  • The UNCE Master Gardener Program
  • UNLV Audubon Student Conservation Chapter
  • Solidarity Community Fridge
  • And an upcoming RSO coming to UNLV officially in the fall... The Wildlife Foundation: UNLV Chapter
