Dorothy Barenscott  is an  Assistant Professor of modern and contemporary art history and theory in the Department of Fine Arts in Kwantlen Polytechnic University Her research will explore how fine art was used to rebrand and redefine Las Vegas casino resorts in the 1990s by examining the designers, architects, and art historians who assisted corporate leaders in bringing fine art to the Strip. Barenscott will present a public talk on her research "The Role of Art and Spatial Aesthetics in the Rebranding of Vegas."
