The Nevada Medal is the highest scientific honor in the state. It is bestowed annually at formal dinner presentations in Las Vegas and Reno. This year, Dr. Missy Cummings, one of the United State's first female fighter pilots and a leading pioneer on human interactions with unmanned aerial systems (UAS), has been named the 2016 Nevada Medalist.

The 29th Annual DRI Nevada Medal Event in Las Vegas will include a formal dinner and award ceremony featuring a cocktail hour beginning at 6 p.m., with the main event at 7 p.m.
