UNLV School of Dental Medicine will host its annual Student Research Day Symposium. There will be two concurrent sessions within Building B on the Shadow Lane campus. One will be held in the B1 classroom featuring the top three student research projects from the summer of 2022, and a presentation by Dr. Neamat Hassan titled "From Research to Clinical Practice." The other will be held in the B2 classroom with presentations by orthodontic resident Dr. Hahnnah Park, pediatric dentistry resident Dr. Jacob Ozuna, and faculty member Dr. Robin Weltman, who will discuss “Periodontology: From clinical practice to peer reviewed literature.” 

Afterward, a poster session will start in the foyer outside the B classrooms showcasing the work of second-year students who participated in the 2022 summer research elective. Fifteen of these projects have been accepted for presentation during this year’s annual meeting of the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research. 

Lunch will also be served.
