Denim Day

Apr. 23, 2014,
11am to 2pm

Campus Location

As a part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month and in commemoration of National Denim Day, the Jean Nidetch Women’s Center will be encouraging faculty, staff, and students to wear jeans to protest sexual violence on Wednesday April 23. The office of the president has supported this event by welcoming faculty and staff to participate by wearing denim to work on that day.

We will have a table at "The Vagina Monologues" at Artemus Ham Hall on April 19, 6-9 p.m. We will also have a table in Pida Plaza on the day of the event from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.. We encourage everyone to come and sign our pledge board to protest sexual violence.

Faculty, staff, and students can post their Denim Day pictures to our Facebook page, or use the hashtag, #UNLVDENIMDAY, on social networks to show us how they’re taking a stand.
