Concordance: New Pairings of Literature and Music
What happens when the worlds of literature and music combine? The 2019 Composers Forum concert, featuring original collaborative work by UNLV English Department creative writing graduate students and School of Music composition students in conjunction with the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art, seeks to answer exactly this question. The Composers Forum presents music and literature as inherently cooperative art forms, requiring active engagement between both audience and art as well as between individual artists themselves. Exploring the alchemical space where language meets music meets art, the concert promises to be an evening of boundary-crossing and genre-swapping magic.
This event is free and open to the public.
