Changing The Trajectory
Cristina “Nina” Hernandez is a decorated Army veteran, Harvard graduate, and currently serves in our nation’s capital as a White House Fellow.
Nina grew up in Las Vegas and was a senior in high school when the 9/11 attacks took place. She left for the Army the day after her 18th birthday, served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and is a Gold Star family member, having lost her brother while he was serving in Afghanistan.
Nina has over 15 years of experience leading teams, directing implementation projects, leading change management, and delivering policy recommendations. Currently, she is serving as a White House Fellow. One of the nation’s most prestigious and competitive programs, the White House Fellowship brings young leaders into the highest levels of the federal government to experience first-hand the process of governing the Nation.
Nina cares deeply about giving back, paying it forward, and helping others rise up. She has received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal and continues to serve in various capacities, from honoring the fallen, to feeding the homeless, and mentoring youth.
Nina is a proud Rebel and received a bachelors in political science from UNLV. She went on to graduate from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government where she obtained a master’s in public administration.
