Description
Lake Mead, America's First and Largest National Recreation Area, encompasses 1.5 million acres of mountains, canyons, valleys, and lakes. We will be canoeing the lake being formed by the Hoover Dam, which is a catchment of the Colorado River. We will cover the basics of canoe strokes and techniques before setting out on a leisurely paddle of about 3 hours with the chance to get out and enjoy the local beaches. This is a great way to get a different perspective of our local landscape!
