Campus Location

Description
Save the date for the annual “Take Your Child to Work Day” event scheduled for Thursday, April 23.
The Women’s Council Family Advocacy Committee will be hosting a lunch and tabling at the Student Union courtyard from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with additional activities happening throughout the day.
UNLV’s Take Your Child to Work Day is based upon the national campaign Take Our Daughters to Work Day. The day exposes girls and boys to what a parent or mentor does during the workday. It also shows children the value of education and gives them a chance to experience various careers firsthand.
The event was founded in 1993 by Gloria Steinem and the Ms. Foundation for Women and is celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday of April.
We welcome you and your child to participate in any or all of our events on this day. If you are participating, please complete the Voluntary Activity Waiver and return to the Family Advocacy Committee (Attn: Shellie Brattain), mailstop 1050 by April 23, or drop off at your first event.
More information will be sent out in the coming months.
