Description

Student engagement is important for any course, and crucial to learning. But how do we ensure that students are engaged in an online learning environment? Join us as we explore the different methods that you can use to ensure that your instruction is as effective as possible. Learn about strategies and activities for engaging students, that can readily be used in your own courses.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Explore best practices to, and approaches for, building and deepening student engagement in the online learning environment

  • Develop pathways for student-student, student-instructor, and student-content engagement

  • Identify common barriers that can lead to “disengagement”
