About the course
The laughable moments depicted in internet memes, viral videos, and Saturday Night Live skits of kids crashing their parents’ Zoom business meetings have recently become reality for families around the world. While having a good laugh can be therapeutic (who doesn’t love a good internet meme?), working from home while caring for children or other family members is challenging. Home and work responsibilities now compete during the same time slots and in the same spaces. With limited outside support, parents and caregivers are always “on” and this can be exhausting. These sessions will include:
- A pre-discussion read (if you can get to it!)
- A brief presentation
- Virtual breakout sessions in which participants reflect on discussion questions, share collective wisdom, learn together, and support each other as parents working from home.
