Campus Nature Walk: Countering Stress with Mindfulness

Join us for a short nature walk with Daniel Ogletree, Faculty Center Fellow, to discover UNLV's hidden flora and fauna. The health benefits of focusing one's attention on nature have been well documented, even if only for one or two hours per week. Attendees are encouraged to bring a sketchbook or journal to write and/or draw as a means of practicing mindfulness. The group will meet first in BEH-126 for a short presentation before beginning the nature walk.
