Hike across orange Aztec Sandstone formations, past an Agave Roasting Pit that is part of Indian history. The great sandstone cliffs at Red Rock are thousands of feet high and are about 180 - 190 million years old. The rock is comprised of petrified sand dunes that formed in a vast desert that covered a large part of the southwestern United States during the Jurassic time. After hiking in, eat lunch perched on a rock that overlooks the Red Rock Park and the Las Vegas Valley below.
