Description
Join the University Libraries for this first Open Access-themed Brown Bag discussion. This discussion will be focused on two areas: Learning more about Dr. John Willinsky’s background in preparation for his Research Week presentation, and furthering our collective knowledge and understanding of Open Access (OA).
The discussion will be centered on Willinsky’s recent interview with Richard Poynder. You can find the interview on Poynder’s Blog "Open and Shut" .
Bring your lunch and come prepared to share your experiences and questions about open access.
The University Libraries will host Dr. John Willinsky, author of The Access Principle: The Case for Open Access to Research and Scholarship (2006) and The Intellectual Properties of Learning (2017), as part of Research Week 2018 in October.
