Description
Lindsay Nixon is a curator, editor, and writer. Nixon’s work uses cyclical narrative techniques, and draws on their Cree, Saulteaux, and Métis ancestral teachings. Their first book nîtisânak is a memoir spanning nations, prairie punk scenes, and queer love stories. Join us for a reading exploring despair and healing through community and family.
Lindsay Nixon has been nominated for a Lambda Literary Award, an Indigenous Voices Literary Award and several National Magazine Awards. Born and raised in the prairies, Nixon currently lives in Tio’tia:ke/Mooniyaang—unceded Haudenosaunee and Anishinabe territories (Montreal, QC).
