The Office of Faculty Affairs, in October, will hold several interactive workshops on Best Practices in Faculty Searches and Hiring. The Offices of Faculty Affairs, Human Resources, Diversity Initiatives, and Compliance jointly developed the workshop materials and integrated best practices from each unit’s perspective.

The workshops will discuss preparing the job announcement, recruiting a diverse pool of applicants, minimizing bias in the search process, and documenting the search process. Attendees will learn about new tools and resources for an efficient and effective search. To learn more about these resources, visit Human Resources’ Recruitment webpage.

Please contact Kimberly Kendricks, director for interdisciplinary collaboratives at if you have questions.
