Description

The Office of Human Resources will offer multiple "Best Practices in Faculty Recruiting" workshops on two important topics in the recruitment process: mitigating bias and writing the job ad. The virtual workshops will allocate 60 minutes to each topic and attendees can attend one session or both.

The purpose of these workshops is to share national best practices in faculty recruitment. Attendees will learn tools and resources for an efficient and effective search process.

Note: This workshop focuses on national best practices in faculty recruiting. The Division of Human Resources offers separate training on using Workday for faculty and classified searches.

Who should attend?

This workshop is for search committee chairs, hiring managers, department chairs, HR liaisons, business managers, and faculty and staff serving on search committees. 

When will the workshops be held?

The workshop is composed of two, one-hour sessions.

  • Mitigating Bias, from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
  • Writing the Job Ad, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
