UNLV School of Music presents a Bassoon Recital with guest artist Jeff Womack.

Dr. Jeff Womack is associate professor of music at Angelo State University specializing in double reeds and music history. In addition to his teaching duties at Angelo State, Dr. Womack maintains an active performance schedule as bassoonist in The Mesquite Trio, principal bassoon of the San Angelo Symphony, where he has been called upon to play principal oboe as well, and substitute bassoon with the San Antonio Symphony. 

Dr. Womack has performed at conferences of the International Double Reed Society in 2000, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2012 and most recently at the 2014 IDRS conference in New York City. At the 2010 conference in Norman, OK, his own composition Rustic Celebration for woodwind trio was premiered. The work is currently in print with Prairie Dawg Press. He is also a founding member of the bassoon quartet Depraved Indifference whose goal is to increase the repertoire for multiple bassoon ensembles.
