(Arrive an depart at your own convenience)

UNLV's event is the first Art+Feminism event to take place in Nevada!

Refreshments will be available.

Art+Feminism is a campaign to improve coverage of women and the arts on Wikipedia and to encourage female editorship. Last year, over 1,500 participants at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and more than 75 node events around the world participated in the second annual Wikipedia edit-a-thon, resulting in the creation of nearly 400 new pages and significant improvements to 500 articles on Wikipedia.

The edit-a-thon is an event where you can use your own particular skills and subject knowledge to help build the world’s most popular online research tool. People of all gender identities and expressions are welcome to participate. It's a great way to do your part to help close the gender gap, begin to acquire new skills, and improve this facet of Wikipedia!

No previous Wikipedia editing experience is necessary, and training will be provided along with online access and the resources of Lied Library.

There is no cost to participate, but please bring your laptop and charger and ideas for entries that need updating or creation.

At the Wikipedia meetup page, you will also find information about how to edit Wikipedia, directions and location information, templates for new entries, suggested articles needing work, and much more.
