Join the University Libraries, Eric Burwell, Instructor in the UNLV College of Fine Arts, and UNLV Art students for "Art Inspired by the Archives: A University Libraries and College of Fine Arts Collaboration" a bonus pre-Art Walk stop on Friday, Oct. 12 from 4:30-6 p.m. to check out the new digital exhibit of their work on display in the Leisure Reading space on the second floor of Lied Library.

“Art Inspired by the Archives: A University Libraries and College of Fine Arts Collaboration” is a digital exhibit created out of a collaboration between Burwell and the University Libraries Special Collections Public Services, during a University Libraries Special Collections & Archives Faculty Retreat. Students  in Burwell’s Design Fundamentals course reviewed historic casino designs and promotional materials in Special Collections & Archives to inspire futuristic casino designs of their own. The exhibit showcases the casinos they designed at the end of the project.

Refreshments will be served, and after checking out the exhibit, head over to the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art next door to join the College of Fine Arts Annual Art Walk starting at 5 p.m.
