Art Exhibition: Teaching Gallery Staff Picks
Ever wonder what pieces from the collection the folks who spend all day at the museum treasure most? This exhibition features pieces from the Barrick Cultural Collection, the Barrick Art Collection, and the Las Vegas Art Museum Collection. Each object was hand-selected by staff members who want to share them with you.
Each staff member selected two pieces and provided a response to why they were selected. Some responses are professional, others are more personal. The result is an array of media as diverse as the staff. "Staff Picks" is important to showcase more then the range of the Barrick's collections it provides staff a sense of ownership over the objects they care for.
The Barrick Museum’s Teaching Gallery is a community resource. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to design and propose small exhibitions from the museum’s collection as part of a learning experience.
The museum is free and open to the public.
