Paintings by Andrea Pavles
“It seems that the majority of us are prolonging our adolescent lives well into adulthood, and our interests reflect a redefinition of what it means to be a grown-up. I am currently painting some of the things that occupy our free time.”
Andrea Pavles presents her particular view on the paradox of growing up yet holding on to a set of juvenile activities and indulgences. Be they video games, candy addictions or carnival attractions, there is a youngster in each of us holding onto that life for as long as possible.
Currently showing in the Jessie Metalf Gallery is a selection of paintings by Andrea Pavles, a 2003 UNLV graduate.
