Promised Paradise presents an inquiry of the disparity between the utopia, or "paradise," that we strive to achieve and the stark reality of the life we live everyday. This paradise can be understood as "The American Dream", or "The Good Life." The exhibition offers the opportunity for reflection about how close we are to fulfilling such a life. The paintings in this exhibiton are the collaborative work of Thomas Annese, Jamie Ebersole, Julia Jameson, Robert Scott, Charlie Spietz, and Lilia Todd, all students in the advanced painting class, fall semester, 2016.
