The Department of Anthropology invites Dr. Zhao Xiaojian from UC Santa Barbara to discuss their research at our Spring 2023 Proseminar Lecture Series. Taking a historical approach, this lecture explores roots of racism in the context of western colonialism and imperialism. It illustrates racist ideologies and acts in the United States against people of color in general and Asian American in particular.
