Description

Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to learn more about the second annual UNLV President's Innovation Challenge, a multidisciplinary team competition that encourages social and business entrepreneurship to help solve major challenges. During the fall semester, students form their teams, gain the knowledge they need to be successful in the competition, and submit their proposals. The most competitive proposals move to the round of the competition in the spring, and final solutions are presented to a panel of judges at the President’s Innovation Challenge event. Winning teams will receive prizes from a pool of $50,000, including a grand prize of $25,000.

This year’s challenge focuses on sustainability but is not limited to science and engineering. Imagine a new communication platform to raise awareness of carbon impact or a game-based learning product to educate children on sustainability or anything in between.

Are you up for the challenge but want more information before committing? Join us for the President's Innovation Challenge Information Session to get all of the details and learn more about the challenge.

Panelists/Facilitator(s):

  • Dr. Bo Bernhard, Vice President of Economic Development; Executive Director, International Gaming Institute
