Mark your calendar for the 8 News NOW Living Green Super Recycling Day. The fifth annual event is once again being held at the Thomas & Mack parking lot. 

Blind Center of Southern Nevada will help destroy FREE of charge the following items:

  • Computers
  • Printers and Toner Cartridges
  • Cell Phones
  • Flat Screen Monitors
  • Flat Screen TVs
  • DVD & VHS Players
  • Game Consoles
  • Wires and Cables
  • Speakers
  • Car Batteries
  • CRT monitors (the boxy type monitors) there is a $30 charge
  • We cannot accept CRT/TUBE or Projection TVs!

In addition, Goodwill of Southern Nevada will be collecting:

  • Clothes                     
  • Shoes & Boots
  • Purses, Jewelry & Accessories
  • CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, Video Games
  • Games & Toys
  • Housewares, including Dishes and Glassware
  • Lamps
  •  Linens
  • Home & Holiday Decor
  • Musical Instruments
  • Sporting Goods
  • Small Appliances, including kitchen electronics
  • Tools
  • Furniture

- Republic Services will be accepting commingled recyclables.

- Clean out your medicine cabinet as Care Coalition will be collecting unused or expired medication

- New and gently used CHILDREN books will be collected by Spread the Word Nevada. 

- Finally, up to four boxes, or bags, of documents can be shredded for free, courtesy of ​Shred-It.


Many of the 8 News NOW anchors will be on hand to greet you and say hello, and 97.1 The Point will be here as well

PLUS… RC Willey will be giving away a limited supply of $25 gift cards.
