Jill Archunde - General Manager, The Signature at MGM Grand

Jill Archunde

Jill Archunde moved to Las Vegas in 1993 to start her hotel career, opening the MGM Grand as a Guest Service Representative. She has since dedicated 24 years to MGM Resorts serving in a variety of management capacities at MGM Grand, Skylofts and New York, New York. She led departments including Luxury Sales, Front Desk, Customer Relations, Business Center and Floral. She also oversaw the consolidation of PBX and Guest Services to Customer Relations and was instrumental in executing the largest property management system conversion.

In April 2011, Jill was promoted to General Manager of The Signature at MGM Grand. In this role, she oversees all operations of the exclusive AAA Four Diamond all-suite condo-hotel with 1,748 suites and 800 employees. In addition, she serves as Chair of CSR committee for MGM Grand and Signature properties and is the executive sponsor to the Young Professionals Network Group.

Jill earned a bachelor’s degree in hotel administration from Niagara University in Lewiston, New York and is a graduate from the MGM Grand Leadership Institute in November 2014.

In her spare time, Jill enjoys time with her husband, their four-year-old daughter Eva and 18-year old step-daughter Lexi. She also loves to travel and spend time with friends and family.

Gregg Benson - Controller, Origin Acoustics

Gregg Benson

Gregg started college at UNLV and finished his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Brigham Young University.  He became a licensed CPA in 2003. After working in public accounting for three years, he switched to the private sector and has been employed at Rebel Oil Company for the last 14 years.

His role as fuel operations controller at Rebel involved managing fuel purchases, sales, inventories, taxes, and logistics for millions of gallons of fuel per year.  He also served on several local and national petroleum marketing boards that monitored and influenced government regulation and legislation in the fuel marketing and convenience store industry.  Gregg is switching into a different industry as the controller for Origin Acoustics and he looks forward to the new challenges and friends he will meet.

Gregg has been a photographer since high school and runs his own photography business which focuses on personal portraits, family portraiture, and sports photography.  Gregg and his wife, Nicole, have been married for 20 years and they have two amazing children, Dallin and Danica.

Sean Butler - Assistant Estimator, Hirschi Masonry

Sean Butler

Sean Butler works in purchasing and supply distribution for Hirschi Masonry in Las Vegas, Nevada. He holds a master certificate in supply chain management and logistics, and he has completed a supply chain management and logistics course to improve his business acumen. Well-known for his public speaking, leadership and customer service skills, Sean is a tribute to his company and his Executive MBA cohort at UNLV.

Sean has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida. At the age of 23, he decided to leave his college town in Florida to begin an LDS mission to Las Vegas, which inspired his permanent move to the city after the mission was completed. Once he moved back to Vegas after his mission, Sean met his beautiful wife and began a new journey as a loving husband.

An avid music lover, Sean is well known for playing the bass guitar in the band, Forsythe. He also loves to hike with his Executive MBA cohort members, volunteers for CASA, and likes to study business. Friends of Sean would note that he is very authentic and caring and expresses himself clearly and diplomatically even in tense situations.

Chelsey Chenoweth – Chief of Operations/Human Resources/Marketing, Campus Club Uniforms

Chelsey Chenoweth

Equally experienced in human resources, marketing, and accounting, Chelsey Chenoweth is an indispensable member of the Campus Club Uniforms team. Having worked for the brand for more than 14 years, she oversees all aspects of payroll, hiring, training, AR/AP, social media and custom corporate/school/medical orders. In addition to her professional vocation, Chelsey is trained and experienced as a bookkeeper and is knowledgeable in accounting. In her spare time, she enjoys contributing to the community with any animal rights or adoption related activities.

Chelsey attended UNLV for her bachelor’s degree in business management. Due to her life-long passion for small businesses and entrepreneurship, she chose to attend the UNLV Executive MBA program to immerse herself in the rich cohort experience and learn more about various business practices. Friends of Chelsey from the EMBA program would state that she is thoughtful, organized and has a balanced and educated opinion on local and global business topics.

Nate Davenport – Project Manager, Newfields

Nate Davenport

Nate Davenport is a project manager for the environmental engineering firm NewFields. He is also on the company’s executive advisory board, which focuses on merging ideas from different NewFields regional operations, with the executive team.  The advisory board has innovated recruiting tactics for new hires, organized new marketing material for their wide variety of clients, as well as coordinated a new quarterly client newsletter.

Nate is also on the NewFields HR board which analyzes and selects the best benefit packages for the firm. The HR board’s recent decision on 401k plans has reduced average investment fees for their 250 employees. The board continually analyzes health benefits to ensure NewFields’ employees receive the best benefits at the best prices.

Nate Davenport served in the Marines for four year where he obtained the rank of an E-5, Sergeant. Nate went on to get a bachelor’s degree in biology at ASU, where he was an active member of the Arizona Outdoors Club.  Nate enjoys challenging himself and has a passion for rock climbing, back country skiing, mountain biking and running. Nate is a life-long learner, and an avid reader who enjoys foreign travel and experiencing new cultures.

Christine Deem – Director of Marketing, Sunbelt Development & Realty Partners, LLC (SDRP)

Christine Deem

Christine is the Director of Marketing for SDRP, a land development and brokerage firm. SDRP serves as intermediaries between sellers and buyers, working primarily with home builders. With an advanced real estate and business acumen developed from over a decade in the industry, Christine recently earned the position as Partner with SDIP, an affiliated private commercial real estate investment company that invests solely in land. Here, she serves as an investment manager of investments owned wholly or partially by the company.

Christine earned dual bachelor’s degrees in political science and biology from UNLV. Christine has a unique zoological background and worked in the field in four different states before fully committing her professional efforts to the real estate industry in Nevada. She is passionate about wildlife conservation and dreams of one day opening a wildlife rescue and education center.

In her spare time, Christine loves to cook and attended culinary school at the International Culinary Center in New York City. Though her program centered on French cuisine, Christine loves exploring all types of cultures through food. Christine also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. She is an avid reader and is always making her way through a new science fiction or fantasy novel. As a former competitive swimmer, Christine also aims to stay healthy and in shape through her love of the water.

Blake Hill – Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, AGS

Blake Hill

A Las Vegas native, Blake Hill is currently the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for AGS, a local gaming manufacturer supplying electronic gaming machines to casino operators in Native American and commercial gaming enterprises. For over 10 years Blake has held progressive roles in FP&A, working with senior leadership to establish comprehensive strategic planning processes. Assisting stakeholders in achieving objectives by tracking financial and productivity performance, forecasting and budgeting, developing capital plans and performing various ad hoc financial analysis. Blake spent four years in Sydney, Australia, successfully leading the FP&A team of an international subsidiary through two changes in ownership.

In his spare time, Blake enjoys binge watching TV shows, playing golf, running and spending time with his beautiful wife and two daughters.

Jennifer Kelly – Manager, Capital Execution, Generation Engineering, NV Energy

Jennifer Kelly

Jennifer Kelly currently works for NV Energy, the largest provider of electricity in the state of Nevada. Her career has spanned across 23 years, first as a substation engineer, then as a project manager, and recently as a leader of special projects and project management organizations. She has lead multi-million dollar construction projects and managed various cross-disciplined teams responsible for all aspects of NV Energy’s generation, transmission, substation, telecommunications and distribution capital infrastructure projects.

Jennifer has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Clarkson University and a Professional Engineer license. She grew up in Niagara Falls, New York, but now calls Las Vegas home with her husband Vince and daughter Jovie. She loves concerts, gardening and being part of the core team that provides the meals and physical infrastructure to support a 120 person camp at Burning Man.

Nathan Marsh - Area Director - Washington County, Utah, Chrysalis Inc.

Nathan Marsh

Nathan Marsh is the Washington County Area Director for Chrysalis. Chrysalis is a company that strives to make a difference daily by providing support and extending opportunities to individuals with disabilities. In his current role, Nathan oversees all aspects of operations for the company in the Washington County, Utah region.

His professional journey began with a university internship in a staff position with Chrysalis. He was quickly promoted to manager and maintained this position even after completing the requirements for school. After graduating, Nathan left Chrysalis to accept a position as a Behavioral Coach in Southern California. In 2008, Nathan moved back to Utah to accept a role with Chrysalis as an Associate Director over the newly formed St. George area.  As the company grew in southern Utah, he was promoted to Area Director over the Washington County area.

Holding every position from staff to an Area Director has given him a unique perspective on the social service industry, while allowing him the opportunity to serve individuals he has come to care for deeply. Within his time as the director, the Washington county area has grown from 30 employees to well over 200 employees. He has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of a company that not only continues to thrive and grow, but is also a company that positively influences and changes people’s lives.

Nathan received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in psychology with a minor in business management. When he is not working or studying, he has a passion for serving others and spending time outdoors with his family. He can usually be found rock climbing, hiking or camping in the red hills of St. George with his wife and four kids.

Amber McCoy – Sales Executive and Manager of Total Experiences, Caesars Entertainment

Amber McCoy

Amber is a native Southern Californian who moved to Las Vegas nine years ago with husband and three children to support her husband’s career. She graduated in 2011 with her bachelor’s degree in business management and has long desired to pursue her MBA.

Amber began her professional career in the banking industry where she developed a strong background in sales, management, and service. Amber enjoyed staying home with her children for a few years before transitioning into hospitality sales in 2010. She first joined the VIP Operations team at Caesars Palace and shortly after was recruited to develop a non-gaming social group sales division called Total Experiences.  Amber has assisted in launching and developing this division over the past six years. Her focus is to attract and increase revenue from social groups traveling to Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Lake Tahoe. Her day-to-day operations consist of managing each aspect of the client’s trip, offering discounted room rates, personalized service and upselling amenities to enhance the guest experience. As a Sales Executive, Amber works with a team of five managers that proactively network with internal and external departments to grow partnerships that broaden amenity offerings to clients. She also continues to build and expand the Total Experiences brand.

Amber looks forward to the weekends where she enjoys time with her family and friends, traveling, boating, watching movies, playing cards, snuggling with her pets and serving at church in the Youth Program.

Sylvester Obafunwa – Digital/Web Analytics Director, MGM Resorts International

Sylvester Obafunwa

Originally from Nigeria, Sylvester comes to us with a diverse perspective. He received a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He began his career as a digital analyst at the State Farm Corporate office in Bloomington, Illinois, before moving to Las Vegas to take up his previous role of Digital Analytics Manager for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Brand.

Currently, Sylvester serves as the Digital/Web Analytics Director for MGM Resorts International, primarily charged with managing analytics reporting and insights, and developing business strategies across the organization impacting the ecommerce space. He’s looking forward to growing in this journey with fellow leaders in his cohort, to develop additional business acumen and excited to see what this program can do to future professional development.

While he is involved in various community organizations, Sylvester is most proud of the time he spends serving as an advisor for the Las Vegas youth group Alpha Men & Divas of Tomorrow (AMDOT). An organization geared towards ensuring 100% graduation from high school for students in the program and entry into a college institution of their choice.

Juliette Ozols – President, FasterCable, Inc.

Juliette Ozols

Juliette holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a business administration minor from UNLV. She joined FasterCable in 2001 and became president in 2005. Last year FasterCable celebrated its 25th anniversary as a national distributor of low voltage and industrial cables & connectors.

Juliette recently joined the board of S.H.E.R.O. Foundation to serve as treasurer, as well as to support young girls and women under the age of 25 who have been abused, abandoned, neglected and exploited. Her volunteer career also includes serving on the boards of NAWBO Southern Nevada (National Association of Woman Business Owners) and NWLA (Nevada Women’s Lacrosse Association).

Juliette Ozols has been a resident of Nevada since 1976. She and her husband, Richard, are the proud parents of two teen-aged girls, one of whom is on her way to the University of Alabama. Roll Tide! They enjoy traveling, dining and wine tasting (pinots & champagne are favorites) and spending time with friends.

Eric Prall – Chiropractor, Southern Nevada Chiropractic

Eric Prall

Dr. Eric Prall was raised in Las Vegas and, at the age of 20, moved to Dallas, Texas to start his chiropractic education at Parker University. After school he specialized in accident-related injuries to the spine such as whiplash and traumatic brain injury. After practicing for eight years, owning and operating four clinics - three in the Dallas Fort-Worth area and one in Las Vegas - he sold his practice and began medicolegal consulting for personal injury claims. He eventually settled into a practice with an attorney and oversaw all of their personal injury claims. Eric also has a deep wealth of experience serving accident victims in collision centers and towing companies, having owned both, which together created an end-to-end customer experience for victims of car accidents.

Today, Eric is attending UNLV’s prestigious Executive MBA program to further his education in the hopes of refining his business acumen and extending his business network.

Eric is the father of a beloved 19-month-old girl who fills his sky with stars. An avid family man and civil servant, Eric is a tribute to the city of Las Vegas. Friends of Eric would describe him as tenacious and good-humored, because he always cheers up cohort members and colleagues regardless of his own challenges.

Lisa Reaver – President, MdE, Inc.

Lisa Reaver

Since its inception in 1999, Lisa Reaver has been the President and CEO of MdE, Inc. Together with a team of talented experts, Lisa has expanded the business offerings from the sole purpose of tracking evaluations for law enforcement to include a modular software program for tracking personnel training, certifications, performance evaluations and company assets. She was also instrumental in ensuring that MdE, Inc. can easily customize its software for a variety of industries such as public safety, medical, education, etc.

Lisa received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati. She went on to work in construction management and forensic engineering before earning a license as a professional engineer. Today, Lisa is pursuing an elite Executive MBA from UNLV: she intends to utilize her business administration master’s degree to expand MdE’s products, services and customer base while increasing company personnel throughout the nation to ensure fast, effective customer service.

An avid motorcyclist, Lisa also enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, relaxing at the beach, and collaborating with others on business endeavors. Those who know her well remark that she’s exceedingly kind, outgoing and approachable.

Alan R. Sagers – Business Pricing Analyst for TRAX International

Alan R. Sagers

Alan Sagers is a Business Pricing Analyst in Las Vegas for TRAX International Corporation. He develops complex cost proposals that have exceeded $1 billion in value, and oversees sensitive government materials with the utmost care and discretion. Prior to joining TRAX International, Alan worked as a superintendent, estimator, business development manager, and operations manager for two construction companies in Las Vegas. He has been responsible for large budgets, the supervision of large teams, and simultaneously maintaining a myriad of client relationships.

Alan received a bachelor’s degree in facilities management with a minor in business management from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is fluent in both Spanish and English. Currently, Alan is seeking the Executive MBA from UNLV to advance his career and develop his network of contacts in Las Vegas.

A devoted family man, Alan spends his free time with his wife and children. He enjoys volunteering as a coach for his children's sports teams, cycling, running, playing tennis, and golfing. His cohort friends would note that Alan is generous with his time and insights, and that he’s always a calming force in the face of adversity.

Jill-Ann Sanbrotti – Senior Hotel Operations Manager, Luxor Hotel & Casino

Jill-Ann Sanbrotti

Jill-Ann Sanbrotti is the Senior Hotel Operations Manager at Luxor Hotel & Casino. In her current role, she oversees the Front Desk, Guest Services, Bell Desk, PBX, Concierge and Business Center teams.  She is responsible for promoting team member engagement, enhancing processes, escalating guest service and driving overall departmental financial performance.

Prior to Luxor, Jill-Ann was part of the opening management team during the $80M building and room renovation from THEhotel to Delano Las Vegas. She began her career with MGM Resorts International as an intern in the HR Training and Diversity Department at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. Upon the completion of her internship, she became a Front Desk Agent, and was subsequently promoted to Assistant Front Desk Manager. Jill-Ann was then promoted to Hotel Evaluation Manager in 2011. In this role Jill -Ann was responsible for assisting the Hotel Division in initiating cost saving measures, identifying and executing revenue generating opportunities, and preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly forecast reports, among many other projects handled by the Hotel Division.

A proud UNLV alumna, Jill-Ann received her bachelor’s degree in hotel administration with a minor in entertainment management. In her spare time, Jill-Ann loves traveling, spending time with her two adorable god-daughters and enjoying all the wonderful restaurants and shows that Las Vegas has to offer.

Roland Santos – Marketing Manager, iSelfDirect

Roland Santos

Originally from Southern California, Roland is proud to call Las Vegas home for the past ten years. While working towards his undergraduate degree, Roland was "part of the magic" at the Disneyland Resort as a general foreman and stage manager for the entertainment division. In 2005, he received a bachelor’s degree in radio, television, and film from California State University, Fullerton.

In 2007, Roland moved to Nevada to become an on-air radio personality and producer for several morning shows in Las Vegas. After nine years working at iHeartMedia, he accepted a position as marketing manager at iSelfDirect, a third-party administrator for self-directed investments and retirement accounts.

With a passion for media and broadcasting, Roland decided to make the transition from employee to entrepreneur. In 2015 he founded FNGR Network, a podcasting platform specializing in the production, promotion, and distribution of several programs.

When he's not at work, Roland loves DJing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and surfing. He looks forward to the top-notch education and cohort experience he'll receive from UNLV's Executive MBA Program.

Robert “Bob” Scott – Controller of Construction & Fabrication Companies

Robert “Bob” Scott

An experienced controller for multiple impressive companies, Robert “Bob” Scott is highly sought after in the construction and fabrication industry. Some of his clients include Forte Specialty Contractors, Forte of California, Trevi Design Group, and Tori Contracting. As a world-class controller, Bob has had the opportunity to work on notable projects, including: Bardot Brasserie in Aria, BURGR by Gordon Ramsay in Planet Hollywood, Margaritaville in Universal Studios and most recently, a Guardians of the Galaxy retheming project for Disneyland.

Bob was born in Seattle, Washington, and then attended high school in Spokane, Washington. After high school, Bob joined the Navy and was stationed in Arizona and Texas before returning to Washington. He finished his bachelor’s degree in professional accounting from Eastern Washington University and has enjoyed a career in the accounting field since 1994, and in construction accounting since 2000.

Bob is an avid motorcycle rider who enjoys setting nearly impossible feats for himself to celebrate his joie de vivre. Having been through all lower 48 states and five Canadian Provinces on his motorcycle, Bob has a wealth of photographs and cultural insights to share with friends and family. To fuel his passion for motorcycles, Bob is also a licensed Motorcycle Safety Instructor at Henderson Harley-Davidson.

Micah Smith – Production Control Manager, Leidos

Micah Smith

Originally from North Carolina, Micah Smith attended college and worked a variety of jobs before enlisting in the Air Force at the age of 22. He finished his bachelor’s degree in business management at Peru State College while stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. During his 11 years of active duty, Micah had various intelligence assignments with the final one bringing him and his family to Nellis Air Force Base, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Micah now works for Leidos, a defense contractor, where he is the Production Control Manager for an Intelligence unit located at Nellis.  In this role, he oversees reporting standards for five geographically separated squadrons and ensures compliance to intelligence community directives. 

Aside from spending time with his family, Micah enjoys any type of outdoor activity, especially hunting, fishing and sports.

Vincent Veilleux – Project Manager, NV Energy

Vincent Veilleux

Vincent Veilleux works for the largest provider of energy in the state of Nevada, NV Energy. The company serves 90 percent of the state’s electrical demand, and supports 1.3 million customers.  Vincent has worked with NV Energy for over 10 years, starting as an intern as a project controls analyst, but now helps to support the company as a project manager for their major projects organization, managing large scale, multimillion-dollar capital installations for their high voltage transmission and distribution networks in the Las Vegas area.

Vincent grew up in Las Vegas, moving from South Lake Tahoe at age nine. He attended high school at the Advanced Technologies Academy and then graduated from UNLV in with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and minor in mathematics.

Vincent loves spending time with his wife Jennifer and acting silly with Jovie, their 7-year-old daughter.  You’ll find them mostly relaxing at home, attending rock concerts, or, once a year, camping in the middle of a dry lake bed in Northern Nevada with seventy-thousand other creative and like-minded individuals, in what he can only describe as the most ‘self-expression’ he’s ever seen in one place.

Vilma Velazquez – Director, HR | HR Business Partner | Talent Acquisition | Employee & Labor Relations | Healthcare | Hospitality | Gaming

Vilma Velazquez

A results-oriented human resources professional, Vilma has 15 years of experience improving business results through enhanced leadership performance. She is passionate about building strong relationships with business leaders and aligning human resources strategies with business objectives.

Vilma was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received her bachelor’s degree in theater and the performing arts from the National University of Central Buenos Aires (UNICEN). Vilma utilizes her professional background in radio and TV production, broadcast news, executive management, leadership development, talent acquisition and employee and labor relations to help others realize their own strengths and achieve greater personal development.

In 2003 Vilma joined Univision Las Vegas on channel 15, as a news producer: within a year, she was promoted to News Reporter, and shortly after that Vilma became the main News Anchor for both daily live newscasts. In 2006, Vilma became the first Hispanic journalist in Nevada to receive an Emmy Award for Best On-Camera Talent in the Pacific Southwest Region.

Vilma is a yoga instructor and is currently working on her Body Pump certification. In her spare time, she enjoys hosting dinner parties for friends, going to the movies and enjoying a glass of wine while reading a good book.
