The total fees for the master’s degree are proposed by the CFT Program and approved by the Dean of the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, as well as by the Provost’s Office. In order to determine the fees for the program, we conducted a survey of the cost of similarly-designed programs and offered our program at a lower rate than most. Payment plans are available.

About Total Fees

The total fees include:

  • Non-state mandatory fees include facility fees, technology fees, student health fees, rebel recycling, study abroad scholarship fee, GSA fee, Student services fee, and reg fee II.
  • First semester students are also charged the New Grad Student Fee.
  • Any International students will pay an extra $145.
  • A Graduate Health Insurance fee is assessed for students who do not obtain a health insurance waiver. This includes International students.
  • CFT Master’s Program fees in total equal approximately $4,500 per semester for in-state tuition for the first 6 semesters and approximately $5,000 per semester for non-state tuition for the first 6 semesters. Both in-state and non-state students pay a fee of approximately $3,200 for the final fall semester of graduate study.

Resolving Fee Calculation Issues

In some cases, fees may be calculated incorrectly. Prior to calling the Student Accounts office in order to solve the problem, we ask that you consider the following:

  1. Students are coded as CFT students in order for the fees to properly calculate. If you call Student Accounts or the cashier and do NOT identify yourself as an CFT student, they will give you the wrong fee information.
  2. Fees are generally based on taking a set amount of credits. All semesters include 9 required credit hours. The final Fall semester includes 6 required credits. If you decide to take another course outside of the program OR another course within the CFT program that would add credits to a semester, this will be an additional cost.
  3. If you do not register for all of your courses in a semester, your fees will be incorrect. You need to make sure that you are registered for all of the courses you plan to take.
