Crowd Management Research Council

Welcome to the Crowd Management Research Council (CMRC). The CMRC conducts, coordinates, identifies, and disseminates interdisciplinary and international research on effective crowd management strategies. Empirical evidence is used to develop crowd manager decision-making frameworks and tools to enhance the safety of crowd-based events.

The CMRC is working to identify effective techniques for managing crowds in a variety of public and private places, including, but not limited to:
