Project Charters

A Project Charter details a high-level overview of the scope, objectives, and people responsible for a proposed project. It’s typically a short document that provides enough information to leadership and major project stakeholders in order to gain approval and agreement to move forward with the project.

Project Charters are created prior to requesting a new project.

Generally, project charters should be created by the Project Owner or Requestor before engaging with the PMO. However, if a customer requests support creating this document, a Project Manager can assist them.
