UNLV Dual Enrollment Summary

The Academic Success Center (ASC) hosts the University’s central concurrent enrollment program, UNLV Dual Enrollment Program, which is an overarching opportunity for high-achieving Nevada high school students grades 9-12. In this program, high school students can enroll in available UNLV courses for which they meet the prerequisites during the fall, spring, and summer. UNLV Department/College-Specific High School Programs

Several UNLV colleges and departments have independent arrangements with southern Nevada high schools, which operate separately from the programs housed in the ASC. Listed below is the contact information for these UNLV department-specific programs.

The College of Education is expanding its high school program offerings. Listed below are the three current programs:

  1. Abriendo Caminos/Opening Pathways (Six southern Nevada high schools)
  2. TEACH: Concurrent enrollment program (Two southern Nevada high schools)
  3. Holmes Cadets (TEACH schools)

UNLV Office of Admissions / Center for Academic Enrichment and Outreach

Junior Scholars Provided by Nevada Gear Up

Twenty students participate from each of the following high schools: Chaparral HS, Del Sol HS, Desert Pines HS, East Career Technical Academy, Southeast Career Technical Academy, and Las Vegas HS. Ten students participate from Pahrump Valley HS.

Additional Information
Students looking to participate in the program are encouraged to have a 3.25 Unweighted GPA. Students must be a participating student in the GEAR UP Grants in their high schools.
