School of Architecture graduate student Andrya Mojena recently earned 2nd Place in the University of New Mexico College of Architecture Jeff Harnar Awards in the student category for her 5th year studio project, Desert Senses. She also receives a $1,000 honorarium.

The award emphasis is on design excellence for projects which reflect understanding of the desert regions of the southwest, both in academic and professional work.

This is the first time a student from UNLV has been recognized with this honor.

She was present in Albuquerque when they announced her award through independent funding received from sponsors.
