Dr. Rajiv Kishore has been named UNLV's 2023 Outstanding Department Chair. This recognition is a testament to Dr. Kishore's leadership, dedication to the success of our students and faculty, and vision for the future of the Department of Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology.

Dr. Kishore joined the Lee Business School in 2018. As department chair, he oversees the academic programs, research initiatives, and strategic planning of the department. Under his leadership, the department has grown in size and reputation, attracting talented faculty members and producing graduates who have made their mark in the business world.

Dr. Kishore's leadership skills are evident in the numerous initiatives he has launched to enhance research, faculty mentoring, student success, and diversity and inclusion. In particular, he has launched six initiatives to improve the research culture in the department, including a research grant program, co-author visit grant program, speaker series, research brown bag series, revised research budget process, and peer recognition program called "Ringing the Bell." These initiatives have helped launch new projects, bring external co-authors to campus, and recognize all colleagues' research, service, and teaching accomplishments systematically and consistently.

Dr. Kishore's focus on student success is evident in his work on two new student achievement awards, updates to a student computer lab, and the negotiation of three new GA lines that provide tutoring services on app prototyping and business analytics. Furthermore, his collaborative leadership skills are reflected in his joint work with the College of Engineering to launch two new interdisciplinary MS programs – MS Data Analytics and MS Cybersecurity.

Dr. Kishore's research interests lie at the intersection of technology, strategy, and innovation. His work has been published in leading academic journals and has been cited extensively by scholars and practitioners alike. He is also an active member of the academic community, serving on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals and presenting his work at international conferences.
