Adam Schroeder, saxophone professor and assistant director of UNLV jazz, was recently awarded a fully-funded grant from the Nevada Arts Council for performing artists in their funding cycle for Jan. 1-June 30, 2023. This grant will help bring to fruition a celebration of the music of jazz trumpet and jazz educator legend, Mr. Clark Terry, who was also the first Black musician shown on network TV on NBC with the Tonight Show Band.

Recently, Schroeder won his second Grammy over the past three years when Michael Bublé and his team of musicians, which includes Adam Schroeder on saxophone, won in the category of Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for his record "Higher."
