Barcio is an artist who uses elemental abstract symbology to posit a primordial heritage of abstraction voiced in the multifarious present. Her work addresses hidden structures and challenges perception to reveal more than what’s visible. Barcio earned her BAE from Herron School of Art, her MFA from UNLV, attended the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art and the Vermont Studio Center residency and was awarded the Pollock - Krasner Foundation Grant in 2019. 

Her work has been published in New American Paintings and is in the permanent collection of the Marjorie Barrick Museum, Las Vegas. Recent solo exhibitions include Marking Time, Syracuse University; Continual, Las Vegas Government Center; and Under Influence, Tube Factory Tube Artspace.
